User Guide for Odoo POS Dine-In and Takeaway

Odoo POS Dine-In and Takeaway allows restaurants to manage dine-in and take-out orders directly from the Odoo Point of Sale system.

By default, Odoo POS does not provide a special interface to clearly separate the handling of dine-in and take-out orders from the automation of packaging costs.

Odoo POS Dine-In and Takeaway solves this problem by adding clear Dine-In and Takeaway order options in the POS interface.

It also allows administrators to configure packaging cost rules and apply them automatically during order processing.

1. Select Dine-In or Takeaway ordering mode directly at the POS
2. Display restaurant floors and tables for dine-in orders
3. Configure packaging cost rules from the backend
4. Automatically apply packaging costs in POS orders
5. Allow packaging fees for dine-in and take-out orders
6. Select the takeaway pickup date and time slot on Odoo POS Dine-In and Takeaway
7. Improve restaurant order handling and billing accuracy

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download zip module submit.
2. Extract the files on your system once the download is complete. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘ pos_dine_in_takeaway.‘
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your folder Odoo Add-ons Path.
4. Now, open the Odoo Application and click on the Settings menu. Here, click Enable Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Application menu and click ‘Update Module List.’
6. In the search bar, clear all filters and search for ‘pos_dine_in_takeaway.‘
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Activate‘ to install it.

1. After installing the Odoo POS Dine-In and Takeaway module, configure the Dine-In and Takeaway settings by enabling Take Away, Packing in Dine-In, and Packing Charges.

2. Create and configure packing cost rules by specifying price ranges and corresponding packing costs.

3. Select the order type as Dine-In or Take-Away from the POS screen while placing the order.

4. Apply packing costs at POS by selecting the desired packing cost rule and clicking the Apply button.

5. See packing costs applied and added to the order total on the POS screen after selecting a packing rule.

6. Update applicable packing charges by clicking Renew button when a fee has been added to the order.
