User Guide for Odoo Layaway Order Management

Odoo Layaway Order Management allows businesses to sell products via installment plans in Odoo Sales. Customers can order goods with a minimum down payment and pay the remainder in installments.

Odoo Layaway Order Management automatically creates EMI schedules, tracks payments in real-time, and applies overdue charges or early discounts. Shipping remains suspended until full payment is made.

Odoo Layaway Order Management simplifies partial payment handling, increases customer flexibility, and helps businesses increase sales with structured payment options.

1. Configure layaway rules individually for each product.
2. Set a minimum initial payment to start the installment booking process.
3. Automatically generates installment schedule (EMI) based on specified conditions.
4. Track installment status in real time (Paid, Partially Paid, Overdue).
5. Apply automatic due billing and early payment discounts.
6. Supports invoice-based payment collection and link-based payments.
7. Automatically hold shipping until full payment is completed.
8. Odoo Layaway Order Management simplifies installment tracking with automatic reminders and real-time payment updates.

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download zip module submit.
2. Extract the files on your system once the download is complete. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘ layaway_order_management.‘
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your folder Odoo Add-ons Path.
4. Now, open the Odoo Application and click on the Settings menu. Here, click Enable Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Application menu and click ‘Update Module List.’
6. In the search bar, clear all filters and search for ‘layaway_order_management.‘
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Activate‘ to install it.

1. After installing Odoo Layaway Order Management, enable the Layaway option from Sales Settings and select the default prepayment mode.

2. Configure EMI plans with installment schedules, arrears fees, and early payment discount rules as needed.

3. Define overdue collection rules and determine the terms of the initial installment discount within the EMI payment period.

4. Create and configure the EMI payment term by determining the installment percentage and maturity interval.

5. Send installment package details to customers via email with complete schedule, down payment amount and due date.

6. View and manage all installments from sales orders, track payment status, and collect payments directly from the installment list.

7. Select the payment mode (Manual or Generate Payment Link) and collect installment payments using the payment link or QR code.
