User Guide for Odoo Automatic Invoice Reconciliation

Odoo Automated Invoice Reconciliation helps businesses match customer payments to invoices automatically.

This eliminates the need for manual payment matching and keeps accounting records clean and accurate.

Additionally, when the invoice is confirmed, the module will apply the available customer credit itself. This saves time, reduces errors, and makes everyday accounting work easier.

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download zip module submit.
2. Extract the files on your system once the download is complete. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘wk_account_automatic_reconcile’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your folder Odoo Add-ons Path.
4. Now, open the Odoo Application and click on the Settings menu. Here, click Enable Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Application menu and click ‘Update Module List.’
6. In the search bar, clear all filters and search for ‘wk_account_automatic_reconcile‘
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Activate‘ to install it.

1. After installing Odoo Automated Invoice Reconciliationnavigate to Settings and enable the preferred auto-reconciliation method.

You can choose Exact Amount Match or Oldest Payment First as needed.

2. Next, go to Invoice → Customer → Credit Note. Here, you can see a list of pending customer credit memos available for reconciliation.

3. If Exact Amount Match is enabled, the system only looks for customer credits with the same amount as the invoice. You can view pending credit notes with the exact amount in the list.

4. You can view pending credit notes here.

5. Now, open the customer invoice and confirm it. As a result, the appropriate credit amount is automatically applied, and the invoice amount is adjusted.

6. After confirmation, check the customer’s credit note again. You will see the exact amount of credit has been used and updated correctly.

7. In this method the oldest customer’s credit will be taken and the amount will be received, apart from that the pending amount will also be adjusted against other payments.

8. For this you can see the list of pending customer credits in the list

9. Now, once again we go to the customer invoice and confirm the payment.

10. Now, with help Automatic Invoice Reconciliation module, activate Oldest Payment First choice. As a result, the system automatically adjusts the customer’s available credit.

11. Next, you can clearly see that the system completes the oldest payments first. After that, some adjust the remaining amount using the customer’s available credit.

12. Finally, the system shows the partially adjusted amount and automatically updates the remaining balance due, which is correctly reflected in the customer’s credit note.
