User Guide for Prepayment of Odoo Website Orders

Prepayment of Odoo Website Orders allows customers to pay for their orders in multiple installments, making the payment process smoother and more flexible.

Each partial payment is recorded automatically, updating sales orders and linked invoices without manual intervention.

This module provides clear installment details, allowing customers and backend users to easily track payments and balances.

Prepayment of Odoo Website Orders works together with the following modules:

Prepayment of Sales Orders

You have to install the above-mentioned modules to use Odoo Website Order Prepayment.

1. Allows customers to pay in installments directly at checkout on the website for flexible purchasing.
2. Configure custom installment amounts, percentages, and due dates per order.
3. Provides admins with a complete backend overview of paid, pending and upcoming installments.
4. Automatically update sales orders and invoices whenever partial payments are made.
5. Display clear installment schedules and payment status on the customer portal.
6. Generate transaction references for each payment for easy tracking and verification.

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive a link to download it module zipper submit.
2. Extract the files on your system once the download is complete. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘website_order_advance_Payments’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your folder Odoo Add-ons Path.
4. Now, open the Odoo Application and click on the Settings menu. Here, click Enable Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Application menu and click ‘Update Module List.’
6. In the search bar, clear all filters and search for ‘website_order_advance_Payments’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Activate‘ to install it.

Configuration of Prepayment of Odoo Website Orders

1. From your Odoo backend, navigate to Website → Configuration → Payment Terms and create or edit terms to specify the installment amount, percentage, and due date.

2. From your Odoo backend, open it Sales → Customers

Open the customer record, and select based on the desired installments Payment Terms under Sales & Purchases tab to apply it automatically at checkout.

3. On the checkout page, on the payment screen, the customer decides whether to pay the entire amount or continue with the first installment only.

4. After completing the payment, the confirmation page displays the transaction details and the amount paid.

5. All customer orders appear with clear payment status, showing installment progress and outstanding amount.

6. Customers click Pay Now directly on their sales order to complete future installments via available payment methods.

7. After clicking Pay Now on the sales order, the customer can complete the pending installment using the available payment method, and the system records the payment automatically.

8. Sign in Sales → OrdersAfter the customer completes the payment, all installment transactions will appear with the payment date, journal, amount and current status for easy tracking.
