User Guide for Odoo Dynamic Field Value Generator

Odoo Dynamic Field Value Generator is a powerful tool that automates the creation of field values ​​across domains using custom rules, filters (domains), and server actions.

This simplifies data entry, increases accuracy, and reduces manual work. Flexible formatting options and role-based access control ensure efficient and secure data management for admins and managers.

1. Create a custom rule to automatically populate column values ​​across all product variants.
2. Use domain filters to target specific records for rule application.
3. Apply rules to one or more records simultaneously.
4. Trigger rule execution instantly using server actions.
5. Add prefixes, suffixes, and separators to customize field values.
6. Format text as uppercase, lowercase, or uppercase.
7. Limit rule creation and management to Admins and Managers only.
8. Easily apply rules from within the model view for fast updates.

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download zip module submit.
2. Extract the files on your system once the download is complete. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- dynamic_field_value_generator
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your folder Odoo Add-ons Path.
4. Now, open the Odoo Application and click on the Settings menu. Here, click Enable Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Application menu and click ‘Update Module List.’
6. In the search bar, clear all filters and search for ‘dynamic_field_value_generator‘
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Install‘ to install it.

1. Very Odoo Dynamic Field Value Generator already installed, open it Arrangement >> User >> Field Value Generator. Here, select the Admin role.

2. Then go to ‘Field Value Generator‘ to access ‘Field Rules’

Admin can access predefined rules or create new rules to generate Values

3. To create a New Rule, go to >> Field Value Generator >> New >> Selected Field

User or Manager can add Prefix, suffix, or separator. Admin can also choose Text Transformation feature for text display.

4. To check domain filtering options >> click ‘Apply to’ >> User can view selected records for which Value will be generated

5. After that, click ‘Apply to All‘ to apply custom rules to selected records >>Select an option Update Value or Overwrite Value >> click Produce

6. To access Contextual Actionclick Create Contextual Actions,

7. This allows admins to generate value straight from the model, good for bulk or single recording

8. Once the Target Field is selected and the Rule is adjusted >> click Generate.
