Make Oauth Client in SAP to connect to the MVM application

Integrating SAP with the Multi-Vendor Marketplace Webkul application requires safe and reliable communication settings.

The first step in this integration process is to create an oauth client credential in your SAP environment.

This step ensures that the two platforms and webkul MVM can safely exchange data using the industrial standard authorization protocol.

Step by step guide: Make an oauth client on SAP

Enter your SAP system via the official login portal.

After entering, open the top navigation and click:
System → oauth → client oauth

Now you will see the list of existing Oauth clients. Here you can easily manage clients.

To add a new OAUTH client, click Oauth client details The required detailed fields and contents, such as the client’s name, Redirect URI, Scope, etc.

In Important Section, give a Client ID and a Client secret (Coded password).

In Base section, give the following values:

• OAUTH AUTHORITY: Set a list of roles (authorities) given to OAUTH clients, such as ROLE_CLIENT, ROLE_TRUSTED_CLIENT.
• OAUTH OFFICIAL GRANT TYPES: Determine the type of grant that is permitted by the client, such as refresh_token, password, authorization_codeor client_credentials. This type of grant determines which tokens can be used by the client. You can configure the type of grant that is supported at <authorization-server> element.
• OAUTH Resource ID: Determine the identification of resources that can be accessed by the client.
• OAUTH Registered Redirect URI: Insert the Rire Redirect that the client can use during Flow of Authorization Code And Implicit flow.

To enter a certain value, use a plus sign and confirmation Add.

In Scope section, give the following values:

• Scope: List of the scope of the client’s place is limited.
• Auto approves the scope: Scopes clients do not require user approval.

In Token validity section, give the following values:

• OAUTH Accessing Seconds of Token Validity: Period of Validity Access token in seconds.
• Refreshing time token validity: Period of Validity of Refreshing Tokens in Seconds.

After entering the required information, click Finish. New clients are added to the list.

Credentials to share

After you make clients successfully, safely share the following details with the webkul integration team:

• Client ID
• Client secret
• Url End point token (Usually available in your SAP OAUTH settings)

The MVM Standalone application will use this credential to authenticate itself and make a safe fire session with your SAP system.
