Career Job Board App User Guide Overview For Wix

Using the Career Job Board App, employers post job vacancies and job seekers search for job opportunities.

It acts as a digital bridge between talent and employers, simplifying the hiring process.

This helps employers and applicants find the right match quickly and easily.

A career job board provides template, job and category creation features for applicants.

Application Settings

Go to Application Settings << General

Enable the “Auto admin email” button to notify admin via email automatically.

Enable the “Auto requester email” button to notify admin via email automatically.

Select the number of skill badges.

Note: Skill badges are small digital icons or symbols that indicate that you are proficient in a particular skill. You earn them by passing tests, completing courses, or proving your abilities.

On career job board apps, skills badges help employers quickly see your skills, such as coding, writing, or customer service.

Email Configuration:

To know how to configure email settings, please visit user guide and follow the necessary steps.

Click Save to save the details and then try sending a test email to verify that the email configuration is complete.

Email Template:

Go to Application Settings << Email Templates

Click the plus icon to create an “Email Template”.

Select a template to create an email template for applicants.

Then, state the job title for which you want to create an email template.

In the email content box, write the content you want to show to applicants.

Then click “Save Changes” to save the email template.

After saving the email template, a pop-up message sounds “Email Template Settings saved successfully” will appear on the screen.

Click the edit icon to modify the template and make changes.

The template will look like this, as shown in the image below:

Click on the delete icon to delete one template.

Check the box to select a template, then click the “Bulk Delete Templates” button to delete multiple or selected templates at once.

Category :

Click the “Add Category” button to add a category as shown in the image below:

Write the category name and select Active or Inactive status according to your needs.

Click Save to save the category.

After saving the category, a pop-up message sounds “Category created successfully” will appear on the screen.

Click the plus icon in a category to create a subcategory.

Active Status will be displayed with a green background color.

To edit a category, click the three dots (more options), select Edit, and make your changes.

Write the Subcategory name and select Active or Inactive status.

Click Save to save the subcategory.

The subcategories will look as shown in the image below:

To edit a subcategory, click the edit icon and make changes.

To delete a subcategory, click the delete icon and delete the subcategory.

Work :

Click the “Add Job” button to add a job as shown in the image below:

Job Information:

Enter the following details in the input fields: Designation, Category, Location, and Salary.

Designation: Job title or role offered (e.g., Software Engineer, Marketing Manager).

Category: The industry or type of job the role is in (e.g. IT, Finance, Healthcare).

Location: The city, region, or remote state where the job is located.

Salary: The compensation or salary range offered for the position.

Condition :

Complete all necessary fields to complete the job requirements.

Eligibility: Minimum qualifications or criteria required to apply for a job.

Skills: Special abilities or skills required to do a job effectively.

Experience: The amount of relevant work history required for the role, usually measured in years.

Timetable :

Please state start and close dates:

Start Date: The date the employment or application period begins.

End Date: The deadline or closing date for job applications or job postings.

Description & Status:

Description: Detailed overview of the job role, responsibilities, and requirements.

Status: Shows whether the job posting is active, inactive, or closed.

Click Save after filling in the required details.

After saving the job, a pop-up message sounds “Job created successfully” will appear on the screen.

To edit a Job Profile, click the edit icon and make changes.

Check the box to select jobs and click the “Bulk Delete Jobs” button to delete multiple selected job profiles.

To delete a job profile, click on the three dots, select “Delete,” then confirm by clicking “Delete” again.

Application display on Frontend:

Open positions look like this on the frontend:

Search for the job role you’re looking for in the search bar, then click on the profile to see job requirements and details.

Click the “Please log in to apply for this job” button to log in:

After logging in, visitors are redirected to this page, where they can apply for jobs by clicking the “Apply for Jobs” button.

Fill in the required details. Click Submit Application.

Your application has been successfully submitted.

Click the Track Your Application button to track the rest of the interview process:

Applicants can track the recruitment process.

Enter your registered Email and click “Check Status”.

It works like this: when applicants apply for a job profile, their resume is reviewed.

If selected, an interview is scheduled. Applicants then proceed through all the interview steps, after which they are selected or rejected.

Application:

All applications submitted by applicants are listed in the Applications section.

Click on the settings icon to change the applicant status.

You can easily manage all applicant recruitment processes from the Actions menu.

The profile of a rejected applicant is displayed like this, as seen in the image below:

You can easily schedule a call for the interview process. The page appears as shown in the image below.

Select the interview date, interview time, and interview mode.

Click on the Save button.
