User Guide to Magento 2 Smart Device Promotion

Magento 2 Smart Device Promotion Module allows the admin to make discounts and coupons based on whether customers use mobile devices or desktops.

It supports banners, location -based offerings, and provides clear reports.

This detects if customers explore in a cellular browser or desktop. Admin can set special discount rules for devices, make coupons, and display messages only for cellular users.

Cart price rules can apply special discounts for cellular or desktop users. This discount can be automatic, without requiring a coupon code.

Admin can track sales based on devices, run promotions in various store displays, and offer location -based discounts to cellular users.

Apart from this, you can also explore special promotions for Magento 2, which allows the admin to manage various types of promotional rules.

This installation is quite simple like the Magento 2 Standard extension.

#Download Module

First, you need to go to the webkul store, go to my account> my product section purchased, verify, and then download and extract the contents of this zip folder on the system.

After the zip module extract, follow the path src application> and then copy the application folder to the root magento 2 directory on the server as shown below:

Next, you need to run the following command,

php bin/magento setup:upgrade

php bin/magento setup:di:compile

php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

php bin/magento indexer:reindex

php bin/magento cache:flush

Language translation

To translate module language, navigate through App/code/webkul/smartdevicebasepromosions/i18n and edit the en_us.csv file.

After that, replace the name CSV as “en_sa.csv” and translate all right side content after coma in Arabic. After editing CSV, save.

Now, upload to the path App/code/webkul/smartdevicebasepromosions/i18n Where the Magento 2 installation is on the server.

Magento 2 product filters with geololization extensions will be translated into Arabic. It supports the RTL and LTR language.

Users can edit CSV as shown below.

After successfully installing the promotion of the Magento 2 smart device, the admin continued to configure the module.

For this, they navigate Save> Configuration> Smart Device Based Promotion Settings. Here, they get the following options,

Activate the module – Activate or deactivate the extension.

Activate Specific Location Promotion – If selected yes, the banner promotion will be displayed in accordance with the country configured in the promotion form.

Next, the admin can continue to Keep configuration. Admin can also navigate to the configuration settings from the Sidepanel admin according to the image below,

After configuring the extension, the admin continued to manage the promotion. They navigate to Smart Device Based Promotion> Promotion Manage. It looks like below,

Here, the admin can see their ongoing promotions and also add new promotional rules. To add new promotions, they knocked Add a new promotion knob.

Promotion details

• Promotional name – Enter the name of the promotion that will be run.
• Type of device – Select the type of device as a desktop or cellular.
• Information – Create banners for promotions with the help of inbuilt page builders.

Choose the type of geo location – Admin can display promotions in all locations or choose certain countries.

Store display – Some store displays can be selected according to the requirements.

Start date – Determine the start date of the promotion that will be carried out.

Final date – Set the final date when the promotion will end.

After the above field is filled in and determined according to the requirements, continue to knock on Keep knob.

Admin can see promotional and sales statistics produced through them. They can navigate here by tapping Smart Device Based Promotion> Promotion Dashboard According to the picture below,

They can see sales via cellular, sales via desktop and from unknown sources as well. Next, they get the filter below,

Choose a month – Select the month to see the statistics
Type of device – Select the type of device as cellular, desktop or all

In this extension, the admin also gets a feature to activate the cart price rules based on the type of device and provide discounts or coupons to customers.

For this, they navigate Marketing> Promotion> Basket Price Rules appropriate below,

Here, the admin sees the rule of the price of the cart that has been added and can knock Add new rules to make new rules.

Special discount conditions for devices

Admin can determine the condition of the CART price rules to provide discounts to customers based on certain types of devices. They can adjust the appropriate conditions below,

Under Condition section, the admin can adjust the discount conditions in the cart and add other conditions as Type of device which they can choose as both Mobile or Desktop.

Using it, discounts can be applied to mobile devices, desktops or both.

Device special coupon application

Likewise, the admin can make a cart price rules based on a coupon code and certain types of devices. Using a coupon code can be applied to a cellphone or desktop or both according to the set conditions.

They initially needed to activate the specific coupon option from the cart price rules and create a coupon code or get it automatically produced according to the image below,

After the coupon configuration is set, the admin results to adjust the conditions according to the type of specific device at Condition part.

Promotional banners, discount offers, and coupon codes will work in the window and according to the configuration carried out by the admin. Let’s check below,

If the admin has made a promotional banner for customers exploring the windower from the desktop browser, then it will appear as below,

If the promotion has been set only for the type of mobile device, it will appear for customers who trace the window in the cellular browser only.

Automatic discount for basket prices – desktop

For automatic discounts on the price of the cart, if the admin sets the condition, it will be applied automatically after being met and will not require a coupon code.

If the condition has been set for a discount is only applied to the mobile device, then it will be applied accordingly.

Coupon Code Application – Desktop

Just like in the previous case, if the admin produces a coupon code and set it to apply only to the desktop browser, customers will not be able to use it in the cellular browser.
